When I first applied for my scholarship with the Blessed Foundation, I thought the most valuable thing I would gain would be the financial support. The blessed foundation’s support however, has meant so much more than financial relief. It's truly been the creation of a community for me. There was a certain level of comfort I found knowing I had a group of people who believed that my hardships would be the reason I succeed rather than fail. As I have gone through my college education I have felt the Blessed Foundation’s presence at every milestone supporting and cheering me on. I am often motivated by the hope to prove them right. The Blessed Foundation poured so much into me that I had extra to give, which has inspired me to participate in so much community service and even starting my own organization so that I can pass on the love the Blessed Foundation put into me.
